Houbigant Bois Mystique Extrait de Parfum is an impressive pure extract rich woody fragrance with a distinctly modern twist. An olfactive gem of comforting warmth and vibrant masculinity. A fragrance for men depicting the comforting warmth of a toasty bonfire watching a perfectly tinged sunset. An intoxicating and irresistible parfum with exotic woodiness and a natural elegance.
The composition opens with the bright freshness of citrus bergamot, neroli and divana enhanced by a warming blend of fruity pink pepper, exotic ginger and spicy cardamom. Pink pepper continues into the redolent heart where woody aromatic papyrus, cinnamon and the evocative richness of incense and cypriol oil intertwine to reveal a mysterious spicy facet of black pepper. Finally, amber, musk and exotic woody undertones of cedarwood and guaiacwood add an elegant ambience to a myrhh enhanced base and trail.
Pure perfume extracts indulge olfactory senses with an in excelsis distillation, each note scored in perfect harmony and cadence. In existence since the early nineteenth-century, unfiltered essences were diluted with alcohol to boost aerosol diffusion and to alleviate obstructions in the flacon’s puffer. Advances in modern perfumery have made those techniques obsolete; deposits are meticulously-filtrated after maceration. Creating complex, extracted formulas comes at a cost and only a handful of notable perfumers offer extracted essences. How to use:
- For light intensity: spray in a cloud around your head and shoulders, let the fragrance fall gently around you.
- For medium intensity: spray in a y-shape across your body, beginning at one shoulder and finishing at the other. If you are wearing jewellery it is a great alternative to spraying your neck.
- For added intensity: apply perfume directly to your pulse points and / or hot spots (wrist, inner elbow and lower neck). Here the heat of your body will allow the fragrance to reveal its full trail. Include shoulders and back to intensify your perfume trail
Hold the fragrance approx 5 inches away and spray your skin, focusing on pulse points (neck, wrists etc) and/or spray generously in front of you and walk through for a full coverage. Don’t rub the fragrance in, as it will affect the trail.
