Ralph Lauren renowned for his popular Polo line founded his company in 1967 originally offering a line of men’s ties. By 1969 he had his own boutique within Bloomingdale’s and 1971 a stand-alone store in Beverly Hills.

The Ralph Lauren brand has expanded from Polo to include Purple Label, Black Label, Blue Label, Polo Ralph Lauren, Polo Denim, Polo Golf, Ralph by Ralph Lauren, Rugby Ralph Lauren and the women’s lines Collection, Black Label, Blue Label, Lauren by Ralph Lauren, Ralph Lauren Golf , and Lauren Jeans Co.

In 1978 Ralph Lauren expanded into fragrance in partnership with L’oreal creating the iconic men’s scent Polo and classic women’s fragrance Lauren. Today the range of fragrances available from Ralph Lauren continues to expand.
