Created in Paris and made in France, Faire Le Mur has a 20% fragrance concentration and was composed by perfumers Ilias Ermenidis and Hamid Merati-Kashani, bringing Maison Matine’s unconventional, playful approach to contemporary perfumery to life.

A Fruity Floral Wood fragrance, Faire Le Mur opens with Florida orange, laurel leaves and pear, combining juicy citrus and fruit with an aromatic green accent. The heart brings together Indian jasmine absolute, lily of the valley and osmanthus, creating an expressive floral character before Indonesian patchouli, musks and dry woods emerge at the base. The result moves from bright, succulent freshness through radiant florals into a smooth, woody and musky finish, giving Faire Le Mur an enticing contrast between spontaneity and depth.

The Bottle

The clear rectangular glass Faire Le Mur bottle gives the fragrance a clean, contemporary silhouette while allowing the pale liquid inside to remain visible. Its minimalist shape becomes a canvas for an exuberant illustrated label by Maison Matine artistic director Mathilde Purseigle, combining olive green with lively pink, yellow, blue and cream details. A large rounded, pale speckled stopper creates a playful contrast with the straight-sided glass, giving Faire Le Mur the distinctive graphic identity for which Maison Matine is known.

Faire Le Mur is made in France using organic wheat alcohol and uses recycled and recyclable packaging. It also has no cellophane to reduce unnecessary over-packaging. Maison Matine perfume stoppers are made in Italy using recycled cork and synthetic rubber, while its fragrances contain between 80% and 93% naturally derived ingredients across the range. These choices make Faire Le Mur an appealing option for fragrance lovers looking for bold contemporary perfumery accompanied by a more considered approach to materials and production.

How to use:

• For light intensity: spray in a cloud around your head and shoulders, let the fragrance fall gently around you.
• For medium intensity: spray in a y-shape across your body, beginning at one shoulder and finishing at the other. If you are wearing jewellery it is a great alternative to spraying your neck.
• For added intensity: apply perfume directly to your pulse points and / or hot spots (wrist, inner elbow and lower neck). Here the heat of your body will allow the fragrance to reveal its full trail. Include shoulders and back to intensify your perfume trail

Hold the fragrance approx 5 inches away and spray your skin, focusing on pulse points (neck, wrists etc) and/or spray generously in front of you and walk through for a full coverage. Don’t rub the fragrance in, as it will affect the trail.
